Braai patios and carports
Centurion is family-suburb territory: built-in braais, pools, and cars that live outside. Two jobs come up again and again. The first is covering a braai and seating area properly — not just shade, but a roof that handles a summer storm without driving everyone indoors. The second is a carport that looks like part of the house.
For the braai patio, the choice is usually between a fixed roof and an adjustable one. An insulated ceiling seals the space and keeps it usable through winter; adjustable louvres let you open the blades for winter sun and close them when the weather turns. Both carry the same all-round gutter system.
- Insulated patio ceilings — waterproof and insulated, with downlights and fans as options
- Adjustable louvres — manual gearbox or full automation
- Fixed IBR carports — our most cost-effective cover, with solar-control polycarbonate available
- Enclosures — sliders, stack folders and casement windows to close the patio when you're ready
Estate guidelines and sun angle
Several Centurion estates set architectural guidelines on roof form and colour. Because every system is custom-made, matching a required finish from our four colours — Black, Charcoal, Bronze and Traffic White — is normal practice rather than a special order. Worth thinking about at quote stage: a west-facing braai patio takes hard late-afternoon sun in summer, which is exactly the case adjustable louvres are built for.
Getting a Centurion quote
Photograph the area, note rough width, projection and height, and mention any estate requirements. We quote on material, colour, operation and extras, and confirm dimensions on site before manufacture.
