Where the view is the point
Bedfordview sits on high ground, and a lot of homes here were designed around what you can see from them. That changes the brief for an enclosure completely: the job is to keep the patio usable through winter and through storms without giving up the outlook. Anything with heavy frames or a busy panel rhythm works against the house.
The Palace multi-slider is the system we reach for. Slim profiles, a small number of large panels rather than many small ones, and a configuration rated for severe wind — which matters on an exposed ridge. Where a section needs to be permanently closed, fixed glass panels do it without introducing a frame line that a door would.

Wind, glazing and comfort
Elevation brings wind and it brings temperature swing. Two specification points follow from that. Double glazing is worth costing where the enclosure faces weather or afternoon sun — it makes a noticeable difference to how the room holds temperature. And on exposed openings, the severe-wind-rated slider is the right call rather than the lightest option. All our glass is shatterproof as standard, and every door and window is weather-sealed with keyed locking.
