Warm palettes and face brick
Pretoria East has a distinctive material language — face brick, clay tile, warm plaster, a lot of natural stone. Charcoal and black can read as a hard interruption against that; bronze usually doesn't. It's the finish we most often end up recommending here, on both louvre blades and ceiling soffits, because it sits with warm brickwork instead of arguing with it.
Traffic White is the other one that works, particularly on an insulated ceiling where the point is to bounce light down into a deep patio rather than to make a statement. Frames and infills don't have to match, so a bronze frame carrying white blades is a perfectly normal specification.
- Bronze louvre systems — adjustable blades, manual or automated
- Insulated patio ceilings — double-roof rain protection, downlights, fans and skylights
- Fixed IBR — cost-effective cover for patios and carports
- Aluminium doors and windows — for enclosing the patio into a year-round room
Heat, not just rain
Summers here run hot, and a patio roof that traps heat underneath is a patio nobody sits on. That's the practical argument for an insulated ceiling over plain sheeting: the insulation and double-roof construction make a real difference to the temperature of the space below. Where you'd rather keep the option of open sky, adjustable louvres let heat out instead of holding it in.
Getting a Pretoria East quote
Send a photo with rough width, projection and height, and tell us what the house is finished in — it genuinely helps with the colour recommendation. Quotes cover material, guarantee, colour and operation, confirmed on site before manufacture.
