What we built
The two-tone approach keeps the structure grounded against the house while the white blades reflect Highveld sun, keeping the space below noticeably cooler.

Frames and blades don't have to match
This is the option most clients don't realise they have, and it is the most requested combination in our range: a charcoal frame carrying Traffic White louvre blades. The frame gives the structure a contemporary, deliberate edge against the house; the white blades keep the roof itself light and airy over the seating below.
Run the same structure in charcoal throughout and it reads heavier. Run it all in white and the frame line disappears. Splitting the two is what gets both qualities at once.

Other combinations that work
Bronze frames with white blades suit warm brick and clay-tile houses, where charcoal can look cold. Black frames with white blades give the sharpest contemporary contrast. All four of our finishes — Black, Charcoal, Bronze and Traffic White — are available on both frame and infill.
